A New Beginning

As we boldly step into 2026, I extend warm New Year greetings to Engr .Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, our revered Royal Fathers, PDP Leaders, Legislative Council members, LG political functionaries, Local Government Workers, the vibrant youths of Ibadan South West LG, valued community stakeholders, esteemed workers of the organised private sector, and all residents of our beloved local government, wishing you a year of growth, peace, and prosperity

As we enter 2026, Ibadan South West Local Government is poised for A New Beginning, a phase demanding renewed responsibility, faster delivery, and greater impact. Governance must step up to meet our people’s growing expectations. With clear purpose, strengthened resolve, and commitment to inclusive development, our administration is ready to deliver.

My leadership philosophy is straightforward: people come first. I believe leadership is about serving with compassion, being accessible, transparent, and delivering results. This guides our governance approach, summed up in our creed: “Leadership with Compassion, Governance with Purpose”

Youth empowerment is a top priority for our administration. We’re investing in skills acquisition, vocational training, and entrepreneurship support to equip our young people with the tools they need to succeed. Our goal is to unlock their potential, drive innovation, and foster self-reliance, because the future of Ibadan South West LG depends on empowered, capable youths leading the way

Safety is crucial for development, so our administration is ramping up security measures in Ibadan South West LG. We’re working closely with security agencies, launching community policing initiatives, enhancing surveillance, and investing in infrastructure that boosts safety. This creates a secure environment that attracts investment, safeguards livelihoods, and sustains peace across our communities, a win-win for everyone.

I wish to particularly call on the Organised Private Sector, corporate institutions, investors, and development partners to see Ibadan South West as a viable partner in progress. This administration welcomes public-private partnerships that align with our development priorities in infrastructure, healthcare, education, security, environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, and social innovation. Together, we can unlock new opportunities, create jobs, and accelerate shared prosperity.
