Ibadan, Oyo State — As Nigerians and the world celebrate Christmas 2025, Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi, popularly known as Wale Canada, the lawmaker representing Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Health, has called on citizens to embrace the true spirit of Christmas — peace, love, harmony, and service to humanity.

In his festive message, Hon. Gbadamosi reflected on the life of Jesus Christ, whose birth, teachings, and acts of love continue to inspire millions worldwide. He reminded citizens that Jesus’ life exemplified selflessness, compassion, and service to others, and that the lessons from His life should guide how we live today.
Drawing inspiration from the Bible, Hon. Gbadamosi quoted:

Luke 2:14: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.”

1 John 4:7: “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”
Matthew 20:28: “The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
He emphasized that Christmas is not merely a celebration of the nativity, but a time to emulate the values of Jesus Christ — humility, kindness, and service to humanity. Hon. Gbadamosi encouraged families and communities to foster unity, extend help to the less privileged, and strengthen bonds of love and peace.

Expressing gratitude to his constituents for their trust and support, Hon. Gbadamosi reaffirmed his commitment to dedicated public service and community development.
“Let us continue to embrace peace, love, and harmony, guided by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, not only during this festive season but throughout the year. May this Christmas bring joy, hope, and blessings to every home,” he said, wishing all a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
