An Oyo North Senatorial District aspirant, Prof. Adeolu Akande, has extended warm congratulations to the Okere of Saki, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, on the occasion of his 6th anniversary on the throne.
In a goodwill message released to commemorate the milestone, Prof. Akande described the Okere’s reign as impactful, progressive, and deeply rooted in the promotion of peace, unity, and development within Saki land and Oyo State at large.
Prof. Akande, a renowned political scientist and former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), noted that Oba Oyedepo III has continued to demonstrate exemplary leadership, blending traditional values with modern governance to advance the socio-economic growth of the kingdom.
He acknowledged the monarch’s consistent engagement with stakeholders, youths, and community leaders, stressing that such inclusive leadership has strengthened harmony and accelerated development across Saki.
“Your Majesty’s six years on the throne have been marked by wisdom, stability, and purposeful leadership. Saki land has witnessed renewed unity and steady progress under your reign,” Prof. Akande stated.
Recalling his longstanding relationship with the Saki community and its traditional institution, Prof. Akande reaffirmed his respect for the royal father and prayed for continued good health, divine wisdom, and a longer, peaceful reign for Oba Oyedepo III.
He concluded by wishing the people of Saki a joyful celebration of the anniversary, urging them to continue supporting the throne for sustained peace and development.
