Oloye Adegoke Adegboyega, Golden Age Homes Partners Oyo Agency for Youth for Maiden Mix & Mic Battle with Millions, Land Prizes

Chief Taofeek Adegoke Adegboyega, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and a 2027 gubernatorial aspirant, has graciously committed millions of naira in support of the maiden edition of the Mix and Mic Battle, an entertainment initiative of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development.

The Ibadan Chief applauded the initiative, describing it as a major boost to the entertainment industry in Oyo State.

He noted that many young creative talents often leave the state in search of opportunities, but the current leadership of the Agency, under Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo, has restored confidence through consistent youth-focused programs.

Chief Adegboyega applauded the Oyo Agency for Youth Development for projecting the good governance of His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde.

According to him, His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde has appointed the best hands with creativity and innovation youth in the state, the likes of Oyo Pacesetter Transport Service chairman, Hon. Salami Ibraheem Dikko, Chairman Hospital Management Board, Hon. Fagbemi as well as Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana stressing that these set of people doesn’t need government support alone, people like him and other philanthropy must give hundreds percent support to their programmes, aimed to promote the state further.

“With the pace at which the Agency has been working since the Chairman came on board, it is now clear that we have the right peg in the right hole. The future is very bright for the youths of this state,” he stated.

Chief Adegboyega, while reaffirming his deep love for youths, jokingly described himself as a youth as well, stressing that youthfulness is a state of mind. He added that this belief forms part of his motivation to seek a leadership position where he can do more for young people.

“For those who know me well, you understand that I love to help in any form I can,” he said. He further promised to personally reach out to a top Afrobeats star and ensure that if the artist is not already booked for the grand finale of the Mix and Mic Battle, the artist will headline the final event as the star performer of the day.

In further demonstration of private sector support for the initiative, Mr. Abioye Kehinde Caleb, CEO of Golden Age Homes, officially partnered with the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development by adding plots of land as bonus prizes for the winners of both the DJ and Hypeman categories of the competition.

While addressing the gathering, Mr. Abioye clarified that although the cash prizes had already been set for the competition, his personal contribution was to further complement the existing rewards with plots of land for both winners. He noted that his passion as a realtor is to encourage young people to begin building assets early in life through their talents.

“It gladdens my heart to see a programme like this happening in Ibadan. Beyond winning cash, I want these young talents to begin their journey into property ownership,” he said.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Mix and Mic Battle Committee, Mr. Oluwatosin Odita, popularly known as King Zlo**, expressed profound appreciation to the duo of Chief Taofeek Adegoke Adegboyega and the CEO of Golden Age Homes, for their generous donations. He assured that the entire committee, under the mandate of the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo, is fully committed to delivering a world-class event that will resonate strongly with youths and key stakeholders in the entertainment industry.

In his goodwill message, Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo commended Chief Adegboyega for his unwavering support for youth development. He recalled that during the programme marking his first anniversary in office, the Ibadan Chief not only donated generously but also honoured the event with his physical presence despite his busy schedule.

He further eulogised him, noting that if more leaders could emulate such selfless commitment, the youths would be better inspired and more confident in governance and leadership, he equally thanked the CEO of Golden Age Homes for deeming it fit to add plots of land to further make the event a glamorous one.
