The lawmaker representing Ibadan South East/North East federal constituency of Oyo State, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), in a bid to strengthen the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) structure at the grassroots and ensure better cohesion ahead of the 2027 elections, hosted the newly inaugurated Ibadan South East Local Government Executives.
The meeting, which held at his Felele residence over the weekend, brought together key party stakeholders from the local government and focused on addressing issues affecting both the development of Ibadan South East, as well as the progress of PDP in the area.
Welcoming the new executives, Agboworin congratulated them on their recent appointments and acknowledged the crucial role they would play in steering the party forward.
He urged them to demonstrate unity in all their dealings, emphasizing that harmony within the party remains essential for achieving collective goals.
He further encouraged the excos to work diligently in support of all PDP candidates at every level, noting that consistent commitment and loyalty would strengthen the party’s chances in future elections.
The lawmaker further charged the executives to deepen their engagement with residents and intensify grassroots mobilization across the wards.
According to him, adopting strategies that promote community development would cement the party’s relevance in the constituency.
Agboworin, however, assured them of his continued support, pledging to maintain open communication channels with them.
He expressed readiness to sustain regular interactions where challenges facing the constituency could be jointly discussed and solutions developed for the progress of Ibadan South East.
