The Oyo State Government, in partnership with Pacesetter Transport Service (PTS), is set to host the maiden edition of TRANSPORT Fest 1.0 on December 19, 2025, at the Engr. Seyi Makinde Terminal, Eleyele Transport Park, Ibadan.

Speaking ahead of the event, Chairman and Sole Administrator of PTS, Hon. Dr. Ibraheem Salami Dikko, said the festival will showcase the vibrancy of the transport industry while promoting youth engagement and community bonding.

“TRANSPORT Fest 1.0 is more than entertainment; it is a celebration of movement, innovation and the everyday heroes who keep our cities running. We are creating a space where young people can interact, learn and have fun in a safe environment,” he stated.

The event will feature live music performances, comedy, cultural displays, games, trade fair, and talent showcases, spotlighting creativity within the sector.

According to Dr. Dikko, the initiative aligns with Governor Seyi Makinde’s renewed drive to modernize the transport system, enhance public service quality, and support youth-focused programmes.

He added that the festival is expected to attract thousands of participants, especially our commuters and become a yearly signature event that strengthens government–citizen relations while honouring transport professionals.
