APPLY: Oyo Govt Releases Registration Portal for Mix & Mic Battle Applicants

The Oyo State Government, through the Agency for Youth Development, has officially opened the registration portal for the maiden edition of the Oyo Ultimate Showdown: Mix & Mic Battle, marking the commencement of entry submissions for one of the state’s most ambitious entertainment initiatives.

The announcement was made on Friday by the Oyo Ultimate Showdown Committee, chaired by Oluwatosin Odita, popularly known as King Zlo, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to raising the bar in youth-focused entertainment programming across the state.

According to the committee’s media unit, Mr. ‘Tosin Odita described the inaugural edition of the Mix & Mic Battle as bigger, bolder, and more inclusive, noting that the event is structured to reflect high entertainment standards while providing talented youths with a credible and competitive platform.

The event, proudly hosted by the Oyo State Government, will spotlight an electrifying faceoff between DJs and Hypelords, two core pillars of Nigeria’s vibrant nightlife and entertainment culture.

Organizers say the competition aims to celebrate skill, creativity, crowd mastery, and stage presence, while setting a new benchmark for professionally curated talent contests within the region.

However, Mr. ‘Tosin Odita revealed that the competition’s reward system places it among the most lucrative entertainment contests in the Southwest.

The winning DJ will take home ₦5 million, while the top Hypelord will earn ₦2 million,
In addition to several other prizes designed to support the winners’ growth and career trajectory.

He added that the prize package reflects the state government’s dedication to empowering young talents and promoting excellence within Oyo’s creative economy.

Registration Details

To ensure orderliness and professionalism, the committee announced a regulated entry fee for each category:

DJ Category: ₦20,000

Hypelord Category: ₦10,000
