Clear indications have emerged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State is strengthening internal unity and collaboration ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At a well-attended stakeholders’ meeting held at the Oke Ado Ibadan State Party Secretariat, Senator Yunus Akintunde, representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, joined other key leaders to reassure party members that a united front—built on synergy, mutual respect, equity, and fairness—will drive the APC to victory in 2027.

The meeting, chaired by the State Chairman, Elder Olaide Abass, had in attendance prominent party figures including former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin; former Senator Ayoade Adeseun; the three serving senators from Oyo State—Dr Yunus Akintunde, Dr Abdulfatai Buhari, and Dr Oloye Sarafadeen Ali; Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu; and the Executive Director of the South-West Development Commission, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, among several other dignitaries.

These leaders jointly affirmed the party’s readiness and determination to reclaim governance at all levels in 2027.

During the meeting, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari moved a motion for the adoption of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the APC Presidential flag bearer for the 2027 election. The motion was unanimously approved by the party executives and leadership present.
