Agribusiness Summit 2025: Makinde Unveils “Grown in Oyo State” Seal for Oyo-Grown Products Says Dr. Debo Akande DBA, CMGR, FCMI

At the Oyo State Agribusiness Summit 2025, a major milestone was recorded as His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE, Dsc, GSSRS, officially unveiled the “Grown in Oyo State” product certification seal. Standing alongside him was Dr. Debo Akande, DG OYSADA and Executive Adviser on International Cooperation and Development, who described the seal as a transformative step toward boosting the state’s visibility in global Agricultural markets.

The new certification mark represents quality, authenticity, traceability, and trust—a guarantee that Agricultural products bearing the seal meet international standards. Dr. Akande noted that the initiative will enhance competitiveness for Oyo farmers and processors, open new export opportunities, and strengthen consumer confidence both locally and globally.

Governor Makinde emphasized that the seal is part of his administration’s broader strategy to modernize Agribusiness, promote value addition, and position Oyo State as a leading player in global trade.

With this unveiling, Oyo State sets a new benchmark for product branding, food safety, and international market readiness.
