Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, has congratulated veteran political leader and statesman, Baba Ismaila Osuolale Ashipa, on the occasion of his 71st birthday, describing him as “aged but ever youthful in mind and body.”
Falana, in a goodwill message released and made available to newsmen by Head of Media Unit, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, on Tuesday, extolled Baba Ashipa’s enduring influence in youth development, political mentorship, and community building.
He noted that despite advancing in age, the Ibadan North-born elder remains vibrant, intellectually active, and deeply committed to nurturing future leaders across the Pacesetter State.
“Baba Ashipa is a rare breed. At 71, he continues to demonstrate the agility, clarity, and progressive mindset of someone far younger. His contributions to political stability, good governance, youth emancipation and empowerment, and grassroots mobilisation remain unmatched,” Falana said.
The Youth Agency Chairman commended Baba Ashipa’s decades-long service to the state, describing him as a repository of wisdom whose guidance remains invaluable to both the youth and political actors across party lines.
He added that Ashipa’s unwavering dedication to public service and positive engagement with young people have made him a role model, not only in Ibadan North Local Government but across Oyo State.
Falana prayed for continued strength, good health, and grace for the celebrant, wishing him a fulfilling new year marked by peace and greater accomplishments.
“On behalf of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, I celebrate a father, a mentor, and a patriotic figure. May this new age bring Baba more joy and divine favour,” he said.
