*Hon Comforter Lauds PDP, Makinde for Successful Convention, Congratulates Turaki, Arapaja, Other New Executives

The Lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency1 Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide has praised Governor Seyi Makinde and the PDP for successfully hosting the national convention in Ibadan.

Comforter made this commendation after the successful conclusion of the PDP national convention held at Ibadan ,Lekan Salami Stadium,Adamasingba.

In a statement made available through her media team, Hon Comforter commended the PDP National Convention Planning Committee and all subcommittees for delivering a smooth, well-organized, and inclusive gathering, noting that their coordination ensured a peaceful process that demonstrated the party’s commitment to internal democracy.

She added that the strong turnout and orderly conduct reaffirmed the PDP’s capacity to lead by example.

She also applauded Governor Makinde for providing the enabling environment, logistical support, and leadership that helped the committees perform effectively, noting that Oyo State once again demonstrated readiness for national political engagements.

Comforter in her statement, congratulated the newly elected national executives, including Dr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN) as National Chairman and Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja as National Secretary.

She described their emergence as a collective victory for the party and expressed confidence that the new leadership will strengthen PDP structures, deepen unity, and steer the party toward renewed national relevance.

Comforter urged the new leaders to work closely with state chapters, elected officials, and party stakeholders to consolidate reforms and rebuild confidence among members nationwide.

She emphasized that collaborative leadership remains crucial to the PDP’s future electoral successes.
