A young public health academic and researcher, Arise Victor Oluwaseyifunmi, got selected for the Leaders of Africa Institute for the Research Communication Workshop 2025 through the prestigious impact scholarship of the institute.

The process was highly competitive and Arise was among the selected scholars from over 30 countries.
The Leaders of Africa Institute is a continental institution known for their intensive programs aimed at providing in-depth knowledge for researchers and professionals across diverse fields to facilitate social innovations. The research communication workshop aims to bring researchers and policymakers together to proffer innovative solutions to Africa’s significant challenges.

According to Arise, he said “I found the program a turning point in my personal and career trajectory. As an academic and researcher, I aim to maximize the program to improve my research outputs and contribute further to Africa’s research landscape”.


He further demonstrate his enthusiasm to utilize the insights from the program to spearhead cutting-edge research in Africa and globally through the Home of Research which he founded recently for championing discoveries and facilitating stakeholders collaboration for research aggrandizement and policy development in Africa and beyond.
Prior to this achievement, Arise is a born-leader who has led student associations and currently serves as the Volunteer lead of Africa Public Health Students Network (AfricaPHSN), Nigeria NWG. He’s also a fellow of the Aspire Leaders Program, Harvard Business School. As a young researcher and academic, he has guided over 500 undergraduates in research writing across various tertiary institutions and has supervised 5 diploma students for research project. Additionally, he has published research articles in reputable international journals with several others in the pipeline for publication.
