SASAY Applauds Gov. Makinde, Deputy Gov. Lawal on Igboho–Kishi and Laayan Bridge Road Reconstruction

On behalf of the entire good people of Irepo Local Government, and as the Leader of the Irepo 7th Legislative Assembly, I wish to express our profound gratitude and immense joy to *His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde (The Executive Governor of Oyo State) and Barr. Bayo Lawal ( the deputy governor)* and their administration for the landmark approval for the reconstruction of the Kishi- Igboho Road and ‘Laayan Bridge’, a critical artery connecting Kishi-Igboho axis.

This long-awaited decision is a monumental and heartwarming intervention that addresses challenges that has severely hampered socio-economic activities, endangered lives, and limited the growth potential of our communities. The state of the road and collapsed Laaya bridge has been a source of immense hardship for our farmers, traders, students, and commuters who need to pligh the route daily for their daily bread especially during rainy season.

Your Excellency, your approval is a clear testament to your unwavering commitment to even and equitable development across all zones of Oyo State. It powerfully reaffirms your administration’s “Omituntun” mantra, which is focused on sustainable infrastructure and improving the welfare of every citizen, regardless of their location.

This project is more than just asphalt, concrete, and steel; it is a lifeline as it revitalizes commerce and agriculture by enabling the seamless movement of goods and farm produce. Enhance the safety and security of our travellers. Strengthen social cohesion and access to essential services like healthcare and education and also open up our axis for greater investment and development.

We, the people of Irepo, are deeply grateful for this responsive and people-centric governance. We assure you of our full support and cooperation to ensure the successful and timely execution of this vital project.
