The Oyo State Woman Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mrs. Olaniran Oluwatoyin, has assured members that the party will soon regain full strength, unity, and resilience ahead of critical political engagements, including the upcoming PDP National Congress scheduled to take place in Ibadan on November 15th and 16th, 2025.

Mrs. Oluwatoyin, in a statement released on Thursday, emphasized her commitment to fostering an inclusive and balanced leadership structure within the party, especially as it concerns the role of women. She pledged to organize statewide meetings that will engage all local government and ward women coordinators to ensure grassroots mobilization, effective communication, and greater involvement of women in the party’s decision-making processes.
According to her, “The PDP in Oyo State is moving towards a new dawn. We are committed to strengthening our women’s wing across the state, and I assure you that the future looks brighter. Our strength lies in unity and collective purpose.”

She also took the opportunity to commend the leadership of the party in Oyo State, extending her salutations to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State PDP Chairman, Hon. Debo Ogungbenro, and all members of the State Working Committee for their steadfastness and leadership.

“We are blessed to have leaders whose vision aligns with the values of inclusiveness and progress for all. It is through such guidance that PDP in Oyo will continue to grow stronger,” Mrs. Oluwatoyin added.
The forthcoming PDP National Congress in Ibadan is expected to be a pivotal gathering that will shape the future direction of the party, as members from across the country converge to deliberate and strategize.
