Former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Prince Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and restated his commitment to the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Hon. Arowosaye made this declaration during the Oyo East PDP weekly general meeting held on Monday at L. A Primary School, Jabata, Oyo, where he congratulated the newly inaugurated party executives and charged them to lead with unity, integrity, and renewed purpose to sustain the PDP’s dominance in the state.

In his remarks, Arowosaye expressed profound appreciation to Senator Monsurat Sunmonu for her exemplary leadership and motherly support to the PDP family in Oyo Zone, describing her as “a pillar of strength and inspiration to many within the party.”

Demonstrating his commitment to grassroots empowerment and party growth, the former council boss donated ₦500,000 to energize members and boost morale across the local government.

He further pledged continued support for the progress of the party and the administration of the current Oyo East Chairman, Hon. Shola Oluokun.

Arowosaye also addressed circulating rumours of mass defections from the PDP to the opposition, describing them as false and misleading. According to him, “only three individuals” were known to have left and are already making arrangements to return to the party.

He emphasized ongoing reconciliation efforts championed personally with various groups and stakeholders, assuring that the PDP umbrella remains wide enough to accommodate everyone.

> “We are stronger together. The PDP in Oyo East remains united, and no false narrative can divide us. With Governor Makinde’s visionary leadership, our future is secure,” he declared.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Olusola Peter Oluokun, commended Arowosaye’s inclusive and mature political style, describing it as a model for sustainable party unity. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to maintaining harmony among party members and ensuring PDP’s continuous dominance in the council area.

Also addressing the gathering, the Oyo East PDP Party Chairman, Hon. Rasheed Kareem Àgbà, expressed delight over the renewed sense of camaraderie among members, describing the meeting as “a new dawn for Oyo East PDP.”

Similarly, Hon. Tirimisiyu Azeez, Southwest Ex-Officio member of the PDP, lauded both past and present leaders for their exemplary conduct and dedication to the party’s ideals, stressing the importance of solidarity and discipline ahead of future political contests.

The meeting was well attended by key stakeholders, including Hon. Oluokun Olusola Peter, Hon. Prince Fariogun Adewale, Hon. Sakirudeen Ojo, Hon. Ejalonibu Akinwumi, and several other party faithful.
