In yet another demonstration of visionary leadership and people-centered representation, the Member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has once again proven that effective governance is driven by compassion, foresight, and commitment to service.

On Thursday, 30th October 2025, at the Ibadan Civic Centre, Idi-Ape, Rep. Agboworin empowered various security agencies in his constituency with essential utility items including refrigerators, generator sets, printers, industrial fans, water dispensers, and other vital equipment to enhance their operational efficiency.

The gesture, lauded by the representative of the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, DC Operations Ekanem Usen, complements the robust security architecture of Governor Seyi Makinde in safeguarding lives and property across Oyo State.

Beneficiaries of this empowerment initiative include the Nigerian Police, DSS, NSCDC, Amotekun Corps, and Operation Burst, cutting across divisions in Ibadan North-East and Ibadan South-East Local Governments.

Distinguished personalities such as C.P Femi Haruna, C.P Sunday Odukoya (rtd), the Oyo DSS Director, Operation Burst Commander, Amotekun Commandant, Hon. Dare Adeleke, and PDP leaders across Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East local governments graced the event, commending Rep. Agboworin’s consistent humanitarian drive.

Beyond security empowerment, Agboworin’s numerous initiatives — from house-to-house palliative distribution, mobile clinic outreach, farmers’ care programs, student scholarships, to drug abuse sensitization and mentorship for youths — have touched countless lives, making him a nationally celebrated “Most Performing House of Rep Member.”
