The Oyo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon. (Mrs) Toyin Balogun, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Arapaja Oladejo Taofeek, on his nomination as the consensus candidate for the position of National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in view of the forthcoming Elective National Convention

Hon. Balogun described the nomination as yet another testament to Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja’s unwavering loyalty,capacity to add value, competence, distinguished and unstinting service to the party, lauding Governor Seyi Makinde for his visionary, exemplary leadership and commitment to excellence in political representation as evidenced by his penchant for consistently putting round pegs in round holes, his recognition and reward for loyalty and distinguished service
She further expressed confidence that Ambassador Arapaja’s wealth of experience, grassroots credibility, excellent interpersonal/communication skills and diplomatic prowess will greatly strengthen and further stabilize the PDP at the national level.

According to her, the development is not only a win for Oyo State but also a reflection of the unity, cohesion and strategic coordination within the PDP family, particularly among the leadership of the party ahead of the forthcoming National Convention slated for November 15–16, 2025, in Ibadan.
