Ibadan, Oyo State

The transformative impact of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration in fostering peace and stability within the Oyo State’s transport sector has once again been in the spotlight as Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), paid a historic visit to Ibadan on Tuesday. The visit underscored the remarkable success of the state’s Park Management System (PMS) in sustaining harmony and orderliness in the transport industry.

During a high-profile meeting with Balogun Seye Famojuro, a trusted ally of Governor Makinde, and Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa, the Oyo State Chairman of the Park Management System (PMS), MC Oluomo showered accolades on the governor for his visionary approach to managing the state’s transport system. He praised Makinde’s administration for creating an environment where transport workers and stakeholders coexist peacefully, a feat that has positioned Oyo State as a model for others to emulate.

Further in his remarks, Akinsanya showered encomiums on Tomiwa Omolewa, fondly called Tommy, for his exemplary leadership in the Park Management System. The NURTW president described Tomiwa Omolewa as a unifying force whose dedication has been instrumental in sustaining the peaceful atmosphere that has become the hallmark of Oyo’s transport system under Makinde’s administration.

The spotlight remains firmly on Makinde’s leadership and the enduring legacy of peace and progress in the state’s transport industry. Governor Makinde’s PMS, introduced to streamline transport operations and curb unrest, has continued to earn praise for its effectiveness in promoting collaboration among drivers, the transport sector leaders and other stakeholders. The system’s success has not only ensured operational efficiency but also fostered an environment of mutual respect and cooperation, further solidifying Oyo State’s reputation as a beacon of peace in the Nigerian transport sector.
