*“A Humble Leader, A Scholar, A True Son of Ibadan” – Hon. Comforter Celebrates Mogaji (Dr.) Nurudeen Akinade on His Birthday

The Chairman, Oyo State House Committee on Women Affairs and Community Development, Hon. Dr. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide JP, has joined the people of Ibadanland and beyond to celebrate a distinguished son of the soil, Mogaji (Dr.) Nurudeen Akinade of the Onilari family, on the occasion of his birthday.

In her message of felicitation, Hon. Comforter described Mogaji Akinade as “a humble and visionary leader whose life of service continues to inspire the younger generation.”

She extolled his invaluable contributions to the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), where he served as two-term Assistant Secretary-General and twice chaired the Ibadan Cultural Festival Planning Committee. She also recalled his instrumental role as Secretary of the CCII Planning Committee for the coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, and as Coordinator of the Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative (ICPI).

Hon. Comforter, who also served on the same Coronation Planning Committee, reminisced about her working experience with him, describing Mogaji Akinade as “pleasant to work with, humble in leadership, detailed in coordination, and ever committed to excellence.”

“He carries the dignity of Ibadan with so much grace and purpose. His leadership style reflects patience and clarity, qualities that endeared him to everyone on our team during the coronation project,” she said.

The lawmaker further lauded Mogaji Akinade for his recent academic feat, the successful defence of his Ph.D thesis, noting that the achievement not only underscores his dedication to lifelong learning but also serves as motivation for others to pursue excellence alongside community service.

“Mogaji Akinade has shown that leadership and scholarship can go hand in hand. His story is one that blends intellect, culture, and service, values that Ibadan cherishes deeply,” Hon. Comforter remarked.

She prayed that the celebrant would continue to enjoy divine wisdom, sound health, and greater accomplishments in his service to Ibadanland and humanity.

“Happy Birthday to a true son of Ibadan — a leader, a scholar, and a man of culture,” she concluded.
