As a young member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria, I have had the privilege of meeting and working with some exceptional leaders in the party. But one person who has truly left a lasting impression on me is Micheal Ogunshina, the outgoing State Youth leader of the Oyo State chapter of PDP.

I first met Micheal at a party function in Abuja back in 2022. As we engaged in a brief conversation, I was immediately struck by his bravery and native intelligence. Despite our short interaction, Micheal left a lasting impression on me. Little did I know that our paths would cross again in the future. The second time I met Micheal was at the Southwest PDP youth leaders stakeholders meeting in Ibadan. As the youngest member among us, he showcased class and maturity beyond his years. I was truly amazed by his leadership skills and his ability to bring people together. Since then, we have formed a formidable team and have worked closely together.
Last year, during the Ogun PDP State Congress, I was running for the position of State Youth leader. Despite having critical family issues to attend to, Micheal came all the way from Ibadan to show his support and solidarity. His selfless act touched my heart and showed me the true meaning of being a team player. Micheal is not just a leader, but a strategist as well. He is a young man who firmly believes that “impossibility is dead.” His positive attitude and determination have made him a well-loved figure among the youth in Oyo State.

Brother Micheal is a true blessing to the PDP in the Southwest and has played a crucial role in strengthening the party’s youth wing. Today, Micheal completes his tenure and will step down from his role as State Youth leader. As he bids farewell to his position, I am certain that he is leaving behind a legacy that the incoming state youth leader will greatly benefit from.

His hard work, dedication, and passion for the party will continue to inspire and guide us even in his absence.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Micheal Ogunshina. His leadership, courage, and commitment to the PDP have left a lasting impact on me and many others. I have no doubt that he will continue to contribute to the party’s growth and success in the future. On behalf of the entire youth wing of the PDP, I would like to wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Thank you, Micheal, for being a true inspiration to us all.
