A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Babalola Abiodun PhD, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly crowned 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I.
In his congratulatory message, Hon. Babalola described the coronation of the new Olubadan as a historic turning point and a new dawn of development for Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole.
He noted that Oba Ladoja’s ascension to the revered throne symbolizes unity, peace, and continuity in Ibadan’s traditional system, while also projecting a future of cultural pride and socio-economic growth for the ancient city.
According to the lawmaker, Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience as a statesman, political leader, and respected son of Ibadan will play a vital role in strengthening the heritage of Ibadanland and fostering progress across all sectors.
Hon. Babalola also commended the people of Ibadanland, the Olubadan-in-Council, and the government of Oyo State for their support and cooperation towards ensuring a smooth transition and successful coronation.
He prayed for the long reign of Oba Ladoja, wishing him wisdom, good health, and divine guidance to lead Ibadanland to greater heights.
“On behalf of my constituents and the good people of Oyo State, I celebrate His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I. His coronation is not just a traditional ceremony but a new development that will usher Ibadan into greater prosperity,” Hon. Babalola stated.
