The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion in Oyo State, Hon. (Mrs) Toyin Balogun, has extended heartwarming felicitations to one of her adoptive fathers and mentors;His Imperial Majesty, His Excellency Oba (Sen) Rashidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja (Arusa 1), the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the grand occasion of his 81st birthday cum official coronation.

She described the revered monarch as a towering custodian,institution and bastion of tradition, a wellspring of sagacity fuelled by both book smarts and native intelligence, and an innate carriage and demeanor of royalty whose life exemplifies dignity, wisdom, and selfless service to humanity.
Hon. Balogun praised Oba Ladoja’s illustrious God ordained journey, noting his enviable legacy as a consummate statesman, a visionary leader, and an unwavering champion of progress for Ibadanland and Nigeria at large. She emphasized that the onset of his reign is already reinvigorating the city’s psyche with an almost palpable and tangible feeling of excitement,a harbinger of a reign poised to usher in an era of unity, peace, prosperity and development, while also preserving our unparalleled and unique cultural heritage/rancour free succession template in Ibadan.

According to her, the Olubadan’s enduring virtues of humility, courage, and nobility stand as a beacon of inspiration to both the young and old.


The Commissioner further prayed for the longevity, robust health, and divine wisdom from above for Kabiyesi, expressing confidence that his leadership will continue to illuminate the path of prosperity for Ibadanland.
She urged the people to rally behind the monarch in support, affirming that Oba Ladoja’s throne represents not only the soul of Ibadan but also the indomitable spirit of the Yoruba race. Hon. Balogun concluded her message by celebrating the Olubadan as a living symbol of grace, honor, and regal magnificence.
