The Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, has announced a financial support package worth N5 million to assist 100 parents with back-to-school expenses.

Salawu, who is also the Babalaje of Ogbomoso land, said each of the 100 beneficiaries will receive N50,000 to ease the financial strain that comes with preparing their children for the new academic session.
In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists on Wednesday, the Waziri Jari of Nupe Kingdom emphasized that the gesture was in fulfillment of his promise to donate his entire salary back to the community in order to support the less privileged.

“As per my commitment when I was appointed Executive Assistant to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, Executive Governor of Oyo State, I’m fulfilling my promise to donate my entire salary back to the community to support those in need,” he stated.

He explained that giving has become a core part of his philosophy.
His words: “I’ve learned that giving is essential, and I strive to do so, not for validation, but because of the blessings I’ve received.”
Inside Oyo understands that this is not the first time Salawu has embarked on such philanthropic interventions.

Last year, he provided N5 million in financial support to five individuals, Ajani Abosede, Moses Oyetunji, Hassana Jimoh, Hammed Musbau, and Azeez Idiayat, with each of them receiving N1 million to boost their business ventures.
Open Salawu stressed that his efforts were aimed at empowering families and sustaining livelihoods, particularly at a time when many households are grappling with the rising cost of living.
