In continuation of his grassroots empowerment drive, Hon. Dr. Temitope Oladimeji, fondly known as OTOPE, will on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, extend a special palliative initiative to residents of Ona-Ara Local Government.

Through the OTOPE Foundation, a total of 300 beneficiaries—comprising commercial Micra (taxi) and bus drivers—are set to receive free fuel support.

The distribution exercise will take place at Bovas Filling Station, Jegede, Olunloyo Area, off Amuloko Road, Ibadan, and is scheduled to commence by 12 noon.

The initiative is being organised in partnership with the Ona-Ara PMS, with allocated slots provided to ensure fairness and transparency in the distribution process.

According to the organisers, the initiative reflects OTOPE’s unwavering commitment to cushioning the present economic hardship facing residents, particularly transport operators, while reinforcing his philanthropic pledge to meet the everyday needs of his people at the grassroots.

This is not the first of such interventions. In a previous edition held in Egbeda Local Government, both Maruwa (tricycle) and Okada (motorcycle) commercial riders equally benefited from the fuel palliative programme.

Speaking on the initiative, OTOPE remarked “Our people are going through a tough period, and it is only right to stand by them in practical ways. This free fuel palliative is a small but meaningful way to ease their burden and keep hope alive. I will continue to do my best to support the people of Ona-Ara and beyond.”
