The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State has been described as one big indivisible political family committed to unity and progress.

This was stated by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, shortly after the conclusion of the party’s ward Congress on Saturday, September 13.
He equally commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of the just-concluded PDP Ward Congress across the 10 wards in Oluyole, describing the party as the formidable force that has continued to entrench itself at the grassroots.

Olatunji, who spoke to journalists who monitored the exercise shortly after the exercise, noted that the peaceful atmosphere that characterized the ward congress was a clear indication of the party’s internal cohesion and commitment to democratic ideals.

He said: “The peaceful conduct of the PDP Ward Congress in Oluyole is a testament to the fact that we remain one united and indivisible family.
“Our members have once again demonstrated maturity, loyalty, and respect for democratic processes.
“This is a strong signal that Oluyole PDP is ready to continue leading by example within Oyo State in line with the vision and leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.”

According to him, the success of the congress was not only a victory for the party but also a reaffirmation of the confidence reposed in Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership style, which he said has fostered harmony among party members.
Olatunji explained further that the outcome of the PDP ward Congress was a reflection of the resolution and decision of all party stakeholders, leaders and elders of the party in the council.
He stated that Oluyole PDP stakeholders have used the occasion to reaffirm their unflinching loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde and his political ideology which he said has redirected the party on the right track and strategic position for future electoral victories.
Olatunji further commended the delegates, party leaders, and stakeholders across all 10 wards in Oluyole for their unwavering commitment to peace and cooperation, stressing that the outcome would strengthen the party ahead of future elections.
He assured that the PDP in Oluyole would continue to prioritize unity, inclusiveness, and grassroots participation, which he described as the backbone of sustainable democracy.
“We have shown once again that politics can be played without bitterness or rancor.
“Our unity is our strength, and we shall continue to build on this foundation for greater victories ahead,” Olatunji added.
Meanwhile, the Ward Congress, which held across the 10 wards in Oluyole Local Government, also recorded impressive turnout of members and was widely adjudged free, fair, and credible as supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
