Ibarapakan Celebrates Chief Obafemi Ojo at 63*

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has extended his congratulations and well-wishes to the Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. (Chief) Obafemi Ademola Ojo, on the occasion of his birthday.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Thursday through his spokesperson, Hassan Adesodi Olaoniye, Hon. Adepoju described the former two-term Executive Chairman as a true servant and a man who prioritises community interests above anything else.

The federal lawmaker praised the efforts and support of the Babaloja-General of Ibarapa Land in the cabinet of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, where he sits as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.

Hon. Adepoju also praised the political doyen for his leadership and mentorship in shaping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, commending him for being a renowned grassroots political veteran and community man par excellence.

“For all of us, it has been an impactful 63 years of existence of a man whose last two decades have been dedicated to serving the people of Ibarapa and Oyo State as a whole diligently.

“As he clocks the age of 63, all we ask from God is to continue to preserve his soul so as to enjoy his political wisdom, bravery and gallantry for long,” he said.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character beseeched the celebrant to continue to impart his political wisdom on the younger generations. According to him, such political education is needed to prepare the youth for political opportunities so that they may imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship, community service and leadership par excellence when the call to serve beckons on them.

He prayed to God to continue to grant Hon. Ojo strength, good health, longevity, wisdom and understanding to continue shaping Ibarapa, the nation and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
