The Founder of Omituntun Benedict Foundation, Oloye Benedict Akika, has hailed the Member representing Oluyole Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Waheed Akintayo (Ilumoka Presenter), for his outstanding contributions to education and grassroots empowerment.
Hon. Akintayo, fondly known as Ilumoka Presenter, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, commissioned a renovated block of classrooms at O.L.G.C. Basic School, Olunde, Ibadan, as part of his commitment to enhancing the learning environment for schoolchildren. In addition, he rolled out a financial empowerment scheme, disbursing over 6 million naira to beneficiaries across Oluyole Constituency to support small businesses and uplift families.
Speaking on the development, Oloye Benedict Akika described Hon. Akintayo’s gesture as a shining example of leadership that directly impacts lives which is exactly like the ways of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State.
“Hon. Waheed Akintayo has once again proven that true representation means investing in people, just like the governor. Renovating classrooms secures the future of our children, while the empowerment scheme strengthens families and boosts local businesses. This is leadership in action, and it deserves commendation,” Akika stated.
He further admonished other lawmakers and political office holders to emulate Akintayo’s people-first approach, stressing that governance should always be about improving lives and creating opportunities.
“I urge others in positions of authority to take a cue from Hon. Akintayo. Our people need leaders who will not only legislate but also positively touch lives through practical empowerment and development projects,” he added.
Akika also noted that the initiative aligns with the vision of the Omituntun Benedict Foundation, which has been at the forefront of youth empowerment, educational support, and community development across Oyo State.
