It was another moment on the global stage where I had the honour of speaking on behalf of The Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, Speaker and Chairman, Conference of State Legislative Speakers of Nigeria.
Themed “Scaling Policy to Action – Strengthening the Regulatory Environment for Sustainable CSO Operations in the South West Region,” the conference was convened with the support of the European Union, Global Rights, and the Community of Practice on Civic Space.
We discussed the ethics, challenges, and invaluable contributions of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to democracy, social justice, and the overall national development.
The event brought together dignitaries and changemakers such as Prof. Chidi Odinkalu (Chairman, Global Rights Governing Board), Sen. Anthony Siyako (Chairman, Senate Committee on Diaspora and NGOs), among many others.
