The Councillors from IbadanSouth West Local Government have paid a courtesy visit to the office of Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, FCA, the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM, and Aweni Hall, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

The visit, held at his Oke-Ado office, was aimed at strengthening ties with the prominent son of Ibadan and discussing developmental matters.

The delegation, made up of elected councillors from different wards in Ibadan SouthWest, described the visit as a strategic engagement with one of their own. Oloye Adegoke, who hails from Gege in the local government, was praised for his contributions to grassroots empowerment, education support initiatives, and his longstanding commitment to the progress of Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.

During the interactive session, discussions were centered on the growth and development of Ibadan South West, the larger Ibadan metropolis, and Oyo State as a whole. The councillors highlighted pressing issues such as infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic opportunities, stressing the need for leaders who can bridge the gap between government and the people.

In their collective address, the councillors pledged their unwavering support to Oloye Adegoke, who is a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and a leading gubernatorial aspirant for the 2027 elections. They commended his vision, integrity, and wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors, describing him as the right leader to steer Oyo State toward greater prosperity.

Responding, Oloye Adegoke expressed deep appreciation for the solidarity visit, assuring the councillors of his continued commitment to the welfare of Ibadan South West and Oyo State at large. He noted that leadership is about service, sacrifice, and inclusiveness, and pledged to remain focused on building a state where opportunities abound for all, regardless of social or political affiliation using the present governor of the state, Engr Seyi Makinde as an example.

As a mark of appreciation for their visit, Oloye Adegoke presented the councillors with gifts, an act that further cemented the cordial relationship between him and the grassroots representatives. The councillors described the gesture as a reflection of his humility, generosity, and people-centered leadership style.
