In a major boost to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of tomorrow’s crucial Ibadan North Federal Constituency Bye-Election, the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Oyo State Branch (Ibadan North Chapter) has thrown its weight behind the party’s candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Don.
The declaration was made today when the association, led by its Oyo State Chairman, Coach Ayodeji Adeyemo, an indigene of Ibadan North Local Government, paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, at his office.
During the visit, the coaches congratulated Hon. Bibire on his appointment as Deputy Chief of Staff, praying for his continued success and divine upliftment.
They seized the opportunity to reaffirm their complete and total support for Hon. Oyekunle’s candidacy, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver quality representation at the Green Chamber.
In a phone conversation with the group, Hon. Oyekunle warmly appreciated their solidarity and pledged to represent their interests and the constituency at large with dedication and integrity.
Responding, Hon. Bibire thanked the association for their visit and assured them of his unwavering support whenever called upon.
He also urged them to sustain their backing for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, while continuing their vital role in nurturing football talents within Ibadan North and across Oyo State.
With the election just hours away, this show of unity from the sports community adds another layer of momentum to the PDP’s campaign in Ibadan North.
