Egbeda LG Boss, Sanda Distributes Farm Inputs in Egbeda as Farmers lauds Makinde –

It was an ecstasies of joy as farmers across Egbeda local government appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE as the Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele flagged off distribution of farm inputs which includes fertilisers(NPK), herbicides, soya beans and maize.

The Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government was represented by the Supervisor for Agriculture, Hon. Tayewo Job said that the distribution of farm inputs by Oyo State Government to all farmers at the grassroot level will increase food production in the council area and state as a whole.

According to the chairman, “Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency(OYSADA) has been actively distributing farm inputs to farmers across Oyo State which is part of various initiatives aim to broader efforts to support farmers, alleviate economic hardships and ensure food security”.

The chairman further enjoined all the beneficiaries of the farm inputs to utilise them as expected for abundance and bountiful harvest with the council area and the state as a whole.

The Director General of Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), Dr. Debo Akande spoke extensively on the giant strides of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State in enhancing and bringing to fore Oyo State Agribusiness, charged the farmers to visit Agribusiness hubs in Fashola and Eruwa for on the spot assessment of wonderful Investments by the governor.

While educating the farmers at the flagg off ceremony, Mr Oyekan, an expert in farming, told farmer beneficiaries on effective planting of crops and application of farm inputs for maximum yields.

The chairman All Farmers Association of Nigeria(AFAN), Egbeda local government, Pastor Francis Dairo expressed gratitude to Oyo State government for the support and acknowledged the potential impact of the inputs on their farms and food production assured that the distribution of farm inputs to Egbeda local government farmers will have ample harvests of food crops within three months and promised not to negate the purpose of the distribution by making judicious use of the farm inputs.

At the occasion were leader of the legislative house, Hon Olusola Olakanmi, Super for Agriculture, Hon Tayewo Job, Super for Youths and Sports, Hon Adio Babatunde Qozeem, Super for Environment, Hon Adewale Ayanniyi, others were Mr popoola(Coordinator OYSADA), Dr. Debo Akande(DG-OYSADA), Mr Oyekan(Farm Expert),Heads of departments, their deputies and farmers.
