In a landmark event, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, visited the newly established Nutslink Limited cashew processing facility in Ile-Igbon, Lagelu Local Government Area, on Thursday, reinforcing Oyo State’s emergence as a hub for industrial innovation. Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, who warmly received the Governor and his entourage at the facility, commended the visit as a testament to the state’s commitment to fostering economic growth and empowering communities through strategic investments.

The Governor, accompanied by top aides, was guided through the state-of-the-art facility by Nutslink’s Managing Director, Air Vice Marsha Asimiyu Awoyoola, who presented detailed data and analysis showcasing the company’s contributions to global economic development and sustainable empowerment. The tour highlighted Nutslink’s advanced cashew processing operations, designed to produce high-quality products for local and international markets while creating jobs and supporting local farmers.

The chairman of the local government area, Hon. Kamorudeen Mudashiru expressed profound gratitude for Governor Makinde’s visit, describing it as a powerful endorsement of Lagelu’s potentials for industrialization. “We are deeply honored by His Excellency’s presence here today,” he said. “This visit underscores the Governor’s visionary leadership in creating an enabling environment for investors, which has made Oyo State a magnet for transformative ventures like Nutslink Limited.”

The chairman praised Governor Makinde’s administration for its critical interventions in the local investment landscape, noting that state policies being championed by Governor Makinde have positioned Oyo as prime destinations for industries that drive sustainable growth.”

Air Vice Marshal Arowolo, in his presentation, emphasized Nutslink’s alignment with Oyo State’s economic vision, crediting the state’s investor-friendly climate for the company’s decision to establish its base in Lagelu. “We are proud to contribute to Oyo State’s growth story,” he said, thanking both the Governor and the local government for their support.

Hon. Kamorudeen further applauded the visionaries behind Nutslink for choosing Lagelu, noting that their investment reflects the confidence inspired by Governor Makinde’s leadership.
