No fewer than over 160 students graduated from Nigerian Navy School, Iresa Pupa, Ogbomosho when traditional rulers, Naval commanding officers, special guests of honour, invited guests and proud parents of the students gathered to celebrate the academic excellence of their wards.


The representative of the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral MG Oamen was the Commander After Operational Base, Navy Captain Aliu Usman. He says he was delighted to be part of the history event of the students of NNSS, Ogbomosho that they should continue to improve on their academic performance and never to relent so that they can be a good ambassador of the college.
He however advised the students to keep to the tenets of what they have learnt which are basically good conduct, discipline, right attitude, and dedication.

Navy Captain Usman however congratulated the graduating students on the successful passing-out-parade and wish them well in their future endeavours.


In her remarks and farewell speech, Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Ogbomosho, Captain Evelyn Egwurube says under her administration, the students have been taught not just academic and read-to-pass education system but instill in them discipline, good conduct and morals.

“I have the best set of graduating students which I believe they will not only be a good ambassador but I am confident whatever they learn here will help them excel in their various chosen career and in future”. She said.
One of the Royal father present at the occasion was Alowa Owarisa Obokun-Ilowa Ijeshaland, Oba Adebukola Alli expressed confidence in the graduating students, advised them to have right attitude to survive as they go out to mix with people that have left for six years or more.

” Post-secondary school life is a bit challenging especially for students in this environment and so the only surviving way is to have a right attitude and be of good conduct”. He said.
Dr Ahmed Jimoh who speak on behalf of the parents advised the students to make use of the training received as the most important and enough to excel in life, as he extols the leadership of the school for a brighter future given to the students.
Both Sulaimon Gada and Mariyida Ahmed expressed confidence that the students of NNSS Ogbomosho are not only academically sound but will be an asset to the nation.
Highlights of the events include parade demonstration, award presentations to outstanding students and launching of a magazine and compendium tagged “The Voice of Future Solutions”.
