Prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Federal House of Representatives hopeful for Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East constituency, Chief Oluwole Akinwale, has joined well-wishers across Ibadanland to celebrate the 90th birthday of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.
Chief Akinwale, who is also the Mogaji of Mato Royal Family and CEO of Niche Global Multi Services & investment and Niche Development Foundation, described the monarch’s reign as peaceful, stabilizing, and a blessing to the people of Ibadan and Oyo State at large.
In his birthday message, Akinwale extolled the virtues of the nonagenarian monarch, noting that Oba Olakulehin’s wisdom, maturity, and fatherly disposition have greatly contributed to peace, unity, and the socio-cultural advancement of Ibadanland.
“Today, we celebrate not just the 90th birthday of a king, but the legacy of a leader whose reign continues to foster unity and development. Kabiyesi’s life is a gift to the people of Ibadan, and we are proud to witness this historic milestone,” he stated.
The APC stalwart emphasized the importance of preserving traditional institutions and working in harmony with them for grassroots development. He assured that if elected to represent the federal constituency in 2027, he would prioritize initiatives that bridge tradition with modern governance, empower youths, and promote community-based progress.
Chief Akinwale also commended the Olubadan for his active role in sustaining cultural values and maintaining the sanctity of Ibadan’s chieftaincy structure, which continues to be a model across Yorubaland.
As the city marks the monarch’s 90th birthday with to fanfare and cultural displays, Chief Akinwale prayed for continued health, strength, and divine wisdom for the Olubadan in the years ahead.
