The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful in Ibadan North, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1447.

In a goodwill message released through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Hon. Olufade described the Hijrah as a momentous event in Islamic history, symbolizing faith, resilience, and renewal.
He urged Muslims to draw inspiration from the noble values embedded in the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) migration from Makkah to Madinah.

“The beginning of a new Islamic year reminds us of the timeless lessons of sacrifice, trust in Allah, and communal unity,” the chairman said.

“As we celebrate Hijrah 1447, let us renew our commitment to peace, love, and purposeful living, while embracing the teachings of Islam that promote social justice, equity, and harmony.”

Hon. Olufade also called for prayers for the continuous peace and progress of Ibadan North, Oyo State, and Nigeria.
He encouraged Muslims to use the new year as an opportunity to deepen their spirituality and strengthen community ties.

“May Allah (SWT) grant us the grace to witness many more years in good health, wisdom, and prosperity.
Let us work together for a better society and continue to uphold the ideals of unity, tolerance, and righteousness,” he added.
The chairman concluded by wishing all Muslims a blessed and fulfilling Hijrah 1447, praying for divine guidance and abundant blessings throughout the new year.
