As the matriarch of the illustrious Adedibu political dynasty, Alhaja Abosede Modinat Adedibu, celebrates her birthday today, she has received glowing tributes and heartfelt prayers from political leaders and well-wishers across the country.
Among the prominent figures honoring her is Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi, a Federal House of Representatives aspirant and respected community leader, who extolled her virtues as “an exceptional mother, a pillar of strength, and a trailblazer in Nigerian politics.”
In a felicitation message, Mayegun Babanumi described the PDP SouthWest Women Leader, Alhaja Adedibu as a woman of grace, deep wisdom, and unshakable commitment to the progress of Ibadanland, Oyo State, and the nation.
“Today, we celebrate not just the birthday of a great woman but the life of an exceptional mother, a political icon, and a defender of democratic values,” Babanumi said.
“Alhaja Bose Adedibu has stood tall through decades of political evolution in Nigeria, upholding the legacy of her beloved husband, the legendary Alhaji Ariyibi Akanji Adedibu, while charting her own impactful path, particularly in championing the cause of women through her role as the PDP Southwest Women Leader.”
Babanumi further highlighted her immense contributions to grassroots mobilization, mentorship of women in politics, and her consistent advocacy for unity and development across party lines.
“She is not only a mother to her biological children, but to many in the political space; always ready with words of encouragement, wisdom, and a listening ear. We thank Almighty Allah for her life and pray for her continued strength, good health, and fulfillment in the years ahead,” he added.
