The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye has extended his goodwill message to the good people of Akinyele Local Government on the June 12 Democracy day celebration.

In a statement made available to the public through his Chief Media Aide, Ogundipe Miracle, Hon Akinwole Akinleye emphasized the need for unity and togetherness in upholding the tenets our heroes past fought for the Democracy we all enjoy today.

In a heartfelt message, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to democracy and the strengthening of democratic institutions in Nigeria.

 

 

Hon. Akinleye commended Governor Makinde for his visionary leadership and significant contributions, particularly highlighting his generous donation of a building for the People’s Democratic Institute(PDI) in Abuja.

 

 

This gesture not only underscores the governor’s dedication to fostering civic engagement and political education but also reinforces the democratic ideals that are vital for the progress and empowerment of the Nigerian people.

 

 

Through such contributions, Governor Makinde continues to inspire hope and confidence in the democratic process, ensuring a brighter future for all citizens.

He said, “Dear Good People of Akinyele Local Government,

As we gather to celebrate Democracy Day, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and responsibility.

 

 

This day is not just a commemoration of our hard won freedom, but a tribute to the sacrifices made by our heroes past who fought valiantly for the rights and privileges we enjoy today.

 

 

It is a reminder that democracy is not merely a system of governance; it is a way of life that thrives on love, unity, and togetherness”.

“In this spirit of democracy, I urge each and every one of you to embrace the values that bind us as a community. Love for one another is the foundation upon which we can build a stronger Akinyele Local Government. It is this love that must drive us to look beyond our differences, to recognize that we are all part of a greater whole. Together, let us honor the memories of those who sacrificed so much by ensuring that their struggles were not in vain. We owe it to them to uphold the ideals of liberty, justice, and equality that they fought for.

Unity is our strength, and it is through collective action that we can overcome the challenges we face. As we reflect on our past, let us also look forward with hope. Our local government has the potential to flourish, but this requires the active participation of every resident. I am committed to fostering an environment where every voice is heard, where each of you has the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our community. Together, we can build bridges that connect us and create pathways for progress.

As your Executive Chairman, I reaffirm my commitment to bringing the dividends of democracy to your doorstep which is the legacy laid by our principal the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde whose contributions to democracy and democratic institutions is second to none. My administration is dedicated to ensuring that the resources and opportunities of our local government are accessible to all. We are working tirelessly to provide security, improve infrastructure, enhance education, and promote health and wellbeing for everyone in Akinyele LG. However, I cannot do this alone; I need your support, your ideas, and your active engagement to make our vision a reality.

Let us not forget that a better Akinyele LG is within our reach, but it will require a collective effort. I call upon each of you to join hands in this noble endeavor. Let us stand together as one people, united in our quest for progress and prosperity. Your continued support is vital as we strive to create a local government that reflects the dreams and aspirations of our citizens.

I extend my warmest wishes to all citizens of Akinyele Local Government on this Democracy Day. May we continue to honor the legacy of our past heroes by living out the values of unity, love, and togetherness. Together, let us build a brighter future for Akinyele Local Government and a better Nigeria for all. Thank you.
