The Youth Movement, a socio-political youth advocacy group, held its inaugural meeting on Saturday, 7th June 2025, at CIMM TOMS Hotel, Ilabe area, Iseyin. The meeting witnessed the official inauguration of the group’s executive members, who are set to steer the affairs of the movement and advocate for youth inclusion in governance and societal development.


During the meeting, key discussions centered on the strategic involvement of youths in Iseyin and the wider Oke Ogun region in governmental programs, politics, and community development. The group emphasized the importance of youth participation in political processes and social governance as a pathway to ensuring that young people benefit meaningfully from government opportunities.

In his address, Chairman Ajibola Rahmon Olayinka, speaking on behalf of the executive, noted that the group’s primary focus is to ensure that the youth of Oke Ogun are mobilized, empowered, and strategically positioned in both political and socio-economic spheres. “The task before us is clear: we must move Oke Ogun youth forward. This is the era of Youth O’clock in Nigeria,” he said.
The event marks a significant beginning for the Youth Movement, which aims to serve as a platform for engagement, advocacy, and empowerment of young people across the region.
