As the 10th National Assembly marks its two years on June 13, 2025, member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has announced the schedule of activities to mark the anniversary.

Every June, since his election as a member of Parliament in 2023, Hon. Adepoju brings his constituents together to release his account of stewardship alongside other initiatives, such as town hall meetings and the grand finale of the nationally celebrated One-Day House of Representatives Member Competition.

According to the schedule of activities approved on Saturday, June 7, 2025, the first day of the list of events marking his two years in office will be a town hall meeting on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the New Ayete Community Hall, slated for 10.00am where constituents will have one-on-one interaction with the lawmaker to express their concerns and needs.

In the evening of that day, there shall be a Novelty Football Match between Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North at Ayete Grammar School playing ground by 4:00 pm.

On the second day, the lawmaker will distribute food items to one thousand (1000) widows in a bid to empower them on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in Igboora, Idere, Ayete, Tapa and Igangan.

According to the lawmaker, this first phase of the widows’ social support will capture 25% of the total number of widows whose data were collated in each community comprising the federal constituency early this year by his office.

He expressed that the second phase will come up in July, after which there will be a rollover when all the widows are covered. On the same day as well, Hon. Adepoju will distribute instructional materials to all public senior secondary school students in the federal constituency.

The final day of the weeklong event will feature the grand finale of the first of its kind in the nation, One-Day House of Representatives Member Competition, with Presentation of Account of Stewardship on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Igboora High School Hall, where a new One-Day House of Representatives Member will emerge while Hon. Adepoju will also reel out his account of stewardship to his constituents in his two years in office.

The federal lawmaker, however, called on all community stakeholders and lovers of democratic government to support him and his team in ensuring the success of the upcoming events. He appreciated the continued support of the people of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North for giving him the mandate to serve and also for not ceasing to help the administration with their prayers and encouragement.

He also appreciated His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for being a leader and mentor he would choose over and over again. He stressed that the support of the Governor of Oyo State is instrumental to the success of his representation thus far, praying to God to continue to bless Engr. Seyi Makinde.

The lawmaker also extended his gratitude to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the federal, state and local levels, saying without them, what he had brought to his constituency in the last two years would not have been possible.
