Dear People of Ibarapa North Local Government,

On this blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha, I extend my heartfelt felicitations to all residents of our beloved community. As we commemorate the noble sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), let us embrace the virtues of devotion, obedience, and selflessness, as exemplified in the verse:

> “Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you.”

— Qur’an 22:37

This sacred festival reminds us of the importance of faith, reflection, and submission to the will of Almighty Allah. It is a time to renew our commitment to compassion, humility, and generosity.

As we reflect on Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering obedience to Allah’s command, let us also celebrate the spirit of togetherness, love, and peace that defines Eid al-Adha. In my message to the Muslim Ummah, I urge everyone to let the values of sacrifice, kindness, and unity guide us not only during the celebration but in our everyday lives.

This celebration is not just a remembrance of Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son, but a call for all of us to submit to Allah’s will, to show empathy to others, and to live harmoniously within our communities.

Let this Eid serve as a beacon of hope and a reminder that by embracing peace and understanding, we can build a stronger, more united Ibarapa North. These values transcend religious boundaries and strengthen our collective resolve to work together for the common good.

As the festivities conclude, I encourage all to carry the lessons of Eid into their daily lives—promoting unity, respect, and lawfulness. As the Qur’an teaches us:

> “O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you…”

— Qur’an 4:59

May Almighty Allah (SWT) continue to bless our local government with peace, prosperity, and joy. Let us work together for the progress and development of Ibarapa North.

Eid Mubarak to you and your families.

Warm regards,

Hon. Akorede Lateef

Chairman, Ibarapa North Local Government
