As Muslims across the world observe this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, Honourable Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi JP, popularly known as Wale Canada, has urged the faithful to reflect deeply on the timeless virtues of sacrifice, endurance, and selfless giving that define the celebration.

In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen via his Personal Assistant, Mr. Jimoh O. Oladoja, Hon. Wale Canada—who represents Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency and serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Health at the Oyo State House of Assembly—encouraged Muslims to go beyond the rituals and festivities by embracing these noble values as a lasting way of life.
> “Eid-el-Kabir is a sacred period that commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering obedience, patience, and devotion. As we gather with joy and gratitude, let us also extend kindness to others, give generously, and live purposefully in ways that uplift our families and communities,” he said.

The lawmaker emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and empathy, especially during these challenging times of economic and social hardship.

Hon. Wale Canada extended his warm Sallah greetings to:

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, whom he described as “the best-performing governor in the history of Oyo State”;
The Deputy Governor, His Excellency Chief Adebayo Abdul-Raheem;

And the good people of Atisbo/Saki-East and Oyo State at large.
He prayed that the blessings of Eid bring renewed hope, unity, and prosperity to all.
