As Muslims across the global celebrate Eid El-Kabir, a Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and Gubernatorial Aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party Oyo State, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim faithful while urging continued prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

In a goodwill message issued on Friday, Oloye Adegoke emphasized the importance of the Eid El-Kabir festival, describing it as a time of deep reflection, selflessness, and unwavering faith in God’s will. He called on citizens to imbibe the values of sacrifice and obedience exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, which lie at the heart of the celebration.

“Eid El-Kabir reminds us that through obedience to God and sacrifice for the greater good, we can overcome all challenges. As we celebrate, let us not forget to continue praying for our dear State and our beloved country, Nigeria,” he said.

The Ibadan-born philanthropist and technocrat noted that while Nigeria faces economic and security challenges, collective faith and unity can help rebuild hope and foster national development.

“These are trying times for many families and communities across the nation. But we must remain steadfast. Our prayers and our unity as a people are essential tools in confronting our difficulties,” Oloye Adegoke added.

The Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM also commended the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde and called for increased collaboration among all political, traditional, and religious leaders to promote peace and progress in Oyo State whereas his thoughts of subsidising food items for Muslims towards the celebration is applauding.

While urging Muslims to celebrate moderately and extend kindness to the less privileged, Oloye Adegoke reiterated his commitment to community development, youth empowerment, and the promotion of inclusive governance.

“As we rejoice with our families and loved ones, let us not forget our responsibilities to one another. Let us share, give, and look out for those who are struggling during this season.”

The message concluded with a prayer for a peaceful celebration, renewed hope for the people of Nigeria, and divine guidance for leaders at all levels.

Eid Mubarak!
