Saki-East Legislative Council Reaffirms Support for Ag. Chairman Hon. Rasaq Morufu Adeyemi

In a plenary session held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Legislative Chambers in Ago-Amodu, the Saki-East Local Government Legislative Council pledged their unwavering support to the Acting Chairman, Hon. Rasaq Morufu Adeyemi, in recognition of his dedication and tireless efforts since assuming office.

The lawmakers commended the Ag. Chairman for his impactful leadership, particularly in initiating critical projects aimed at improving the well-being of the people and boosting the local economy. Among the notable achievements acknowledged during the sitting were:

1. Construction of Alakia Culvert – A strategic intervention to enhance mobility for residents and ease the transportation of goods across the community.

2. Resuscitation and Repair of the LG Excavator – A move aimed at revitalizing local infrastructure development and generating internal revenue for the council.

While reiterating their loyalty and cooperation, the councillors encouraged Hon. Adeyemi to continue conducting his duties in strict adherence to the rule of law, assuring him of their full legislative backing when due process is followed.

In his response, Hon. Rasaq Morufu Adeyemi expressed gratitude for the council’s show of solidarity. He reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance. The Chairman also charged the council to enact laws that would foster peace, unity, and sustainable development within the local government.
