As Nigeria joins the rest of the world in celebrating Children’s Day today, Hon. Lanre Sarumi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to all Nigerian children, especially those within his constituency.

In his Children’s Day message, Hon. Sarumi highlighted the invaluable role that children play in the future of any nation, noting that the foundation of a prosperous and peaceful society lies in the proper upbringing of its youngest members.

“Our children are the hope of tomorrow and the pride of our future,” Hon. Sarumi said. “As we celebrate this special day set aside for them, we must all remember the sacred responsibility we bear in nurturing, educating, and protecting them.”

He emphasized that for Nigeria to attain lasting growth and development, it must invest in raising healthy, educated, and morally upright children who will become responsible leaders and citizens in years to come.

Hon. Sarumi also called on parents, guardians, and community leaders to lead by example and serve as responsible role models. “Every child deserves a safe, loving, and morally sound environment to grow in,” he said. “Let us teach them values of integrity, hard work, and compassion; not only through words but more importantly, through our actions.”

While celebrating the resilience, creativity, and energy of Nigerian children, he reaffirmed his commitment to policies that will protect and empower young people across Ibadan North and beyond.

“I salute the brilliance and joy that our children bring to our lives and communities. On this joyful occasion of Children’s Day, I wish every child a happy celebration filled with love, laughter, and hope,” Hon. Sarumi concluded.

Happy Children’s Day!
