Akintayo Pledges to Safeguard Every Child on National Children’s Day

In a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s youngest citizens, the executive chairman of Ibadan North Local government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to protecting and empowering every child within his community as the country marks the 2025 National Children’s Day.

Celebrated annually on May 27, National Children’s Day shines a spotlight on the rights, welfare, and potential of children across Nigeria. This year, Akintayo joined families, educators, and government leaders across Oyo state in honouring the occasion with a renewed pledge to safeguard every child in its care and nurture their dreams for a better future.

“We will continue to prioritize child protection, safeguard every child in our environment, uphold their rights, and nurture their dreams,” Akintayo stated. “As we celebrate the 2025 National Children’s Day, we do so with immense pride and profound joy.”

The Ibadan council boss emphasized the need for a collaborative approach in addressing issues such as access to quality education, healthcare, safety, and emotional well-being.

He also highlighted his administration’s previous effort and ongoing initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children, including school support programs, , and advocacy for child rights in Ibadan North local government.
