Birthday: Oyo PDP is Blessed–Oluyole LG Boss, Felicitates ‘Wolekanle’, ‘Sunky’, Olatoye

The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji, has said that the ruling party in the state, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is blessed with grassroots political mobilizers and promising young leaders.

The Council boss made this known in a congratulatory message to trio of Hon. Akinwale Akinwole; the Chairman of the Oyo Local Government Pension Board, the Member representing Egbeda state constuency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sunkanmi Babalola (popularly known as ‘Sunky’); and a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart, Hon. Olajide Olatoye, widely known as ‘Big Daddy’.

According to the congratulatory message, Olatunji lauded the celebrants for their dedication to public service, progressive minded politics that engenders transformative leadership, and grassroots development in Oyo State.

Olatunji, who is the Baba Isale Musulumi Oluyole and the Asiwaju of the LG in general stated that the pragmatic leadership of the governor, Seyi Makinde, has birthed a new political movement of such grassroots mobilizers and young leaders across the state and Nigeria as a whole.

“On behalf of the good people of Oluyole Local Government, I extend my warmest birthday wishes to three distinguished leaders whose contributions to the development of our state continue to inspire many,” Olatunji said.

He described Hon. Akinwale’s appointment by the governor as putting a round peg in a round hole while expressing confidence in the richness his experience as an employer of labour will bring to the LG Pension Board in the state.

Describing Hon. Wolekanle as a “visionary human resource manager and a defender of pensioners’ rights,” Olatunji praised his commitment to the welfare of retirees across Oyo State.

Similarly, he also commended Hon. Babalola for his “robust legislative representation and youth-oriented initiatives,” which, he said, have made a positive impact on constituents in Egbeda LG.

Felicitating Hon. Olatoye ‘Big Daddy’, Olatunji noted that his consistency and loyalty within the PDP family, as well as his philanthropic efforts, have earned him admiration in Lagelu LG and across the state.

“Big Daddy remains a pillar of support for many within and outside the political fold not only in Lagelu LG but across Oyo state,” the statement read.

Olatunji prayed for continued grace, good health, and prosperity for the celebrants, while urging them to remain steadfast in their efforts to uplift their local communities in their various areas and support the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
