In a heartwarming gesture that blended celebration with compassion, the family of Chief Benedict Akika, the prestigious Aare Agba’Akin Ataiyese Omoluabi Oodua Agbaye and founder of the Omituntun Benedict Foundation, marked a significant milestone with a host of Oyiza Orphanage in Ibadan.

The occasion was the first birthday of the Akika twins, Benedict and Benedicta, born in May 2024 to Chief and Chief (Mrs) Akika. Rather than hold an extravagant party, the Akika family chose to commemorate the day by giving back to the community and rejoicing with them which is reflection of the philanthropic values that define the family and the foundation.
The event, held on Monday, brought joy and laughter to the children, staff and matron of the home; Mrs Taiwo Joy, as the Akika family welcomed them with food items, giftsand essential supplies. The celebration featured music, dancing, prayers, and a birthday cake shared among the children and guests.

Speaking during the event released to 9ja News 24/7, Chief Benedict Akika expressed gratitude for the gift of life and the blessing of parenthood. He emphasized the importance of showing love to the less privileged and reaffirmed his foundation’s commitment to humanitarian causes.

“This celebration is not just for our children, but for all children especially those who need love, care, and support. It’s our way of thanking God and spreading joy,” he said.

The Omituntun Benedict Foundation, known for its charitable outreach, has continued to touch lives across Oyo State through educational support, health initiatives, and community development.
