Speaking during the gathering, Oloye Adegoke emphasized the importance of homegrown support, saying, “Ibadan South West is not just my political home; it is where my journey began.
Any dream I have must be rooted here first, with the elders and leaders who have nurtured this party for decades.”
He reiterated his commitment to strengthening party unity, supporting youth and women inclusion, and aligning with the progressive developmental policies championed by Governor ‘Seyi Makinde.
In response, several leaders at the meeting praised Adegoke’s humility, loyalty, and consistency. They noted that his decision to start his political consultation at home was a sign of maturity and respect for the party’s leadership structure.
Party Chairman Hon. Moruf Balogun described the visit as “a homecoming that reminds us of the values that keep our party strong,” while Hon. Kehinde Akande, the Council Chairman, stated that “only those who honour their roots can lead effectively.”
