In a move that underscores the age-old adage that charity begins at home, renowned media mogul, philanthropist, and political figure, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, paid a high-level courtesy visit to prominent elders and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan South West Local Government, his political base.

The visit, which comes amid growing speculation about his political future, was described as both symbolic and strategic, signaling his commitment to genuine grassroots engagement and internal party cohesion ahead of future political developments.

Held at a central venue in Ibadan South West, the interactive session drew a host of respected party stakeholders, including:

* Yeyeluwa Abosede Modinat Adedibu, PDP Southwest Women Leader
* Iya Mukeso
* Pastor Tiboyin
* Pastor Popoola
* Hon. Aleshinloye
* Hon. Adeladan (Baba Banker)
* Hon. Kunle Busari
* Hon. Kehinde Akande, Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government
* Hon. Wale Afolabi (Waco)
* Hon. Moruf Balogun, PDP Chairman, Ibadan South West LG
* Hon. Paul Oni
* Hon. Biola Ayorinde
* Hon. Oyetunji Oyetunde and others

Oloye Adegoke, who holds the prestigious traditional title of Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and the Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM, used the avenue to express his appreciation to the leaders for their steadfastness in party affairs and to seek their guidance and blessings for the journey ahead.

Speaking during the gathering, Oloye Adegoke emphasized the importance of homegrown support, saying, “Ibadan South West is not just my political home; it is where my journey began.

Any dream I have must be rooted here first, with the elders and leaders who have nurtured this party for decades.”

He reiterated his commitment to strengthening party unity, supporting youth and women inclusion, and aligning with the progressive developmental policies championed by Governor ‘Seyi Makinde.

In response, several leaders at the meeting praised Adegoke’s humility, loyalty, and consistency. They noted that his decision to start his political consultation at home was a sign of maturity and respect for the party’s leadership structure.

Party Chairman Hon. Moruf Balogun described the visit as “a homecoming that reminds us of the values that keep our party strong,” while Hon. Kehinde Akande, the Council Chairman, stated that “only those who honour their roots can lead effectively.”

Political analysts view the meeting as a foundational step in what could be a broader campaign in the buildup to 2027.

By starting his consultations with the elders in his local government, Oloye Adegoke is sending a clear message: his ambition will be people-driven, inclusive, and built on loyalty to the party’s core values.
