As workers across the globe mark this year’s International Workers’ Day, the Chairman of the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA), Hon. Abideen Adeaga, has extended warm felicitations to all workers in Oyo State and Nigeria at large, applauding their dedication, resilience, and invaluable contributions to the development of society.

In a statement released in Ibadan, Hon. Abideen described workers as the backbone of the state’s progress and emphasized the critical role they play in the implementation of government policies and the delivery of essential services to the people.
“On this special occasion of May Day, I salute the courage, hard work, and sacrifices of our workers, especially those at the grassroots level who ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the most vulnerable in our communities,” he said.

The OYCSDA Chairman further lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering commitment to people-centered governance, noting that the governor’s policies have continued to prioritize the welfare of workers and promote inclusive development across the state.

“Governor Makinde’s administration has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the needs of the people. Through timely payment of salaries, implementation of worker-friendly reforms, and investment in community-driven development projects, His Excellency has shown that governance can be humane, inclusive, and effective,” Hon. Abideen stated.

He also highlighted the role of OYCSDA in advancing the governor’s vision by empowering communities to identify and execute their own development priorities, especially in health, education, water, and rural infrastructure.
Hon. Abideen called on workers to remain steadfast and committed to the values of professionalism, integrity, and service, assuring them of the Agency’s continued collaboration in enhancing community development across Oyo State.
“As we celebrate May Day, let us recommit ourselves to building a better, more equitable society where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive,”
he concluded.
