The Commissioner for Women Affairs & Social Inclusion; Hon( Mrs) Toyin Balogun, has extended warm Easter greetings to all citizens of Oyo state and Nigerians at large

Balogun, in a statement,released by her media team, congratulated Christians in the State, and Nigeria at large for witnessing another Easter celebration, a season which cuts across cultures,nations as a time of sacrifice,rebirth,hope and renewal

She congratulated believers on the completion of the 40-days Lenten season, prayer and penance, describing it as a holy period that offers another chance for spiritual rebirth,renewal, and growth.

The Honorable Commissioner stated that *” Easter is a celebration of life, love, and redemption.

It’s a reminder that no matter what challenges we face, there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow. The resurrection of Jesus is a powerful symbol of the human spirit’s capacity for resilience, forgiveness, and transformation.

It is not just a remembrance of Christ’s resurrection but a call for all of us to embody His message of love and compassion in our daily lives.

As we gather with family and friends, let us spread the spirit of brotherhood and resilience that our faith inspires.”*

Going further,she stated,*”The resurrection and by extension,Easter is a time of renewal,hope and triumph,a timeless symbol of triumph of life over death,of light prevailing over darkness and of hope riding above despair.

It is a powerful reminder that after every trial there is victory,after every night,there is dawn.The resurrection of Jesus symbolizes the promise of new beginnings,the enduring power of faith,love and unity.

It also symbolizes victory over challenges and despair. In these trying times, we are reminded that hope is a powerful force that can transform our lives and communities*

Hon Balogun also highlighted the role of her Ministry in fostering sustainable empowerment and Poverty Alleviation by stating thus:

*”As we celebrate Easter, let us remember that commitment to the success of shared goals and cooperation are crucial to building an empowered and poverty free society.

I encourage citizens in a state from poverty to indigence to actively participate in initiatives from the Ministry that sustainably empower citizens and strengthen our communities,”* she added.

She further urged Christians to demonstrate love not only to fellow believers but also to people of other faiths, noting that such gestures foster peaceful coexistence and national harmony.

The Honorable Commissioner equally calls for continued support for the government of His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, noting that the Governor deserves continued support of the citizenry given his landmark and impressive achievements in office to enable him deliver even more of the dividends of democracy to citizens

May this Easter bring peace to every heart,warmth to every home and renewal of strength to each life.
